The luxury hotel group AMR Collection organized this exclusive Fam Trip, with the collaboration of the Lanzarote Art, Culture and Tourism Centers and Bodegas Vega de Yuco, who jointly offered this enogastronomic experience with wine pairing at the Finca Testeina premises.
The main travel agents and representatives of the tourism repair of the United States market enjoyed a complete and exclusive enogastrotourism experience from the hand of Bodegas Vega de Yuco-Finca Testeina and the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, within the framework of the Fam Trip organized in Lanzarote by the luxury hotel company AMR Collection.
The familiarization action with the AMR Collection hotels on the island, the destination and its specialized tourist offer, took place this past Monday, September 27, with a private event held in the premises and vineyards of Finca Testeina, the new wine tourism project from Bodegas Vega de Yuco.
Through a small route and a tour of the farm, the agents learned first-hand the history and origin of the volcanic eruptions in Lanzarote. They also enjoyed a pleasant walk through the vineyards of this house, whose first documented references date back to the 16th century, and discovered -among others- the unique system of hole culture which gives rise to the exceptional landscape of La Geria, and some elements of Lanzarote's traditional architecture and its strong link with the island's water culture.
An active wine tourism experience that culminated in the pairing of four wines from Bodegas Vega de Yuco and seven culinary creations prepared for the occasion by the chef of the Castle of San José, Pedro Luis Garcia Curbelo, under the direction of the executive chef of the CACT Orlando ortega. The event was enlivened by the contemporary music of the Canarian timplist José Vicente Pérez González.
