If from birth they were already a reference among the lovers of the sweet wines of the Canary Islands, the renewed ‘Famara Moscatel Dulce’ y ‘Famara Tinto Dulce’They return more strongly among their faithful and unconditional consumers. They are rediscovered with a new level of elegance, quality and flavor.
Bodegas Vega de Yuco, through a careful improvement process, both in the elaboration and parenting techniques and in its aesthetics, it manages to renew these wines without losing their essence and unique character. In addition, the winery has also made the restyling of his image, seeking to convey with the new design of his labels, modernity, elegance and deep connection with the terroir volcanic and the legacy of aboriginal culture.
The new image represents the union of two Spiral Canary painters, vestiges of the millenary culture that inhabited the islands. Spirals also symbolize the infinite connection with nature and respect for the surrounding environment. The form and illustration of the label also evokes the volcanic landscape of Lanzarote, the Risco de Famara, the aggression of the wind and the influence of the sea. With a clean, elegant and easy identification design with the winery itself. The typography and graphic details have been updated to reflect the renewed identity of Vega de Yuco, more in line with current trends, but always faithful to the tradition and quality that defines its wines. The original idea is the designer's work Carla Romero Tafalla, whose design was awarded with a second prize in the last label contest convened by the winery itself for the image of another of its wine productions.

Famara Moscatel Dulce, the elegance of the Moscatel de Alejandría
The Moscatel of Alexandria is the protagonist of this extraordinary sweet wine, which is characterized by the careful selection of grapes and a process of vinification respectful of nature and traditions. The grape, large and aromatic, is harvested by hand when it reaches its optimal overmaduration point, which gives it a concentration of natural sugars and a complexity of unmistakable aromas. The climate of Lanzarote, with its Alisios winds and the influence of the Atlantic, teach the singular characteristics, in which its freshness and minerality stands out.
The winemaking process begins with a soft pressing and a spontaneous fermentative stop, which allows preserving the purity of the aromas. Subsequently, the wine performs its raising in French oak barrels, where it acquires exceptional softness and elegance.
The result is a gold yellow wine with golden reflexes, which seduces with a complex and enveloping nose, where mamnate notes accompanied by memories of orange blossom honey, orange and tangerine honey.
In the mouth, Famara Moscatel Dulce It offers a powerful and tasty attack, with a liquor and unctuous texture, perfectly balanced by vibrant acidity. His body is robust and full, with a long and elegant end that leaves a warm and pleasant sensation, making it an ideal wine to pair with desserts or enjoy only as an indulgent pleasure as an appetizer. Famara Dulce Tinto, a slow process wine
The Famara dulce tinto, elaborated with the Black Listán variety, reflects the identity of the Redal Wines of Lanzarote, with a particular approach in the preservation of the typicality of the prefiloxic grape. This grapes, cultivated in the warmer areas of the island, is influenced by volcanic floor, sea salinity and alisios winds, which printed incomparable minerality and freshness.
Like the sweet moscatel, the black listán grapes are collected overmits to concentrate sugars and aromas, which gives rise to a wine of great body and flavor. The winemaking process follows an artisanal methodology, with a light pressing and a spontaneous fermentative stop that respects the natural rhythms of wine. The final touch of this wine is given by its upbringing in French oak barrels, which grant notable delicacy and complexity.
Famara dulce tinto It is presented as a sweet and elegant wine, with an aromatic profile reminiscent of mature red fruits. Of aroma clear to red and black fruits, predominantly overmanding and consisting notes. In the mouth it is elegant, complex and full, with a great final balance. It becomes an excellent option to accompany chocolates, coffee desserts and forest fruits. Also ideal as an appetizer and pair with cheese tables or, simply, to enjoy their complexity alone.
