Sparkling Wines

Vines once covered the south of the Iberian Peninsula, but they practically disappeared after the phylloxera plague of the late 19th century, which affected almost all European vineyards. Diego and Listán Blanca, like Malvasía Volcánica and other varieties on the island, are pre-phylloxera and continue to thrive in Lanzarote thanks to the ingenuity and hard work of the men and women of this land, who have managed to preserve this unique and extraordinarily valuable natural wine-growing heritage.

Elegance, subtlety and originality are the most predominant characteristics in the sparkling wines produced by Bodegas Vega de Yuco. These are minority varieties on the island and, as in the case of the Diego grape from Lanzarote, are in danger of disappearing.

This variety gives rise to the highly regarded Brut Nature Princesa Fayna, produced using traditional methods, and Listán Blanco, the new Ancestral D’Yuco, which is making a strong entry into the Lanzarote sparkling wine market. We invite you to discover, appreciate and enjoy them.
