Gastronomic tasting of Basque products, combined with a poetry recital and wine tasting from Vega de Yuco from Lanzarote and Bodegas Alútiz from Samaniego, as a guest winery from the Rioja Alavesa.
The Municipal Theater of Teguise will host this Saturday, November 25, one of the food and wine tastings and poetry recitals of the first edition of the Winepoetry Festival from Lanzarote.
This food and wine experience will be carried out with products from Basque cuisine. Bodegas Vega de Yuco, as the host winery in Lanzarote, will pair the meeting with two wines from the Princesa Gara and Esencia Yaiza lines, along with Bodegas Alútiz de Samaniego, as a guest winery, which will also offer two commented tastings of its best references.
Pedro Benasco of the DO tasting committee Wines from Lanzarote will be the taster who will guide the event, as well as the biologist, popularizer and writer, Ignacio Romero from Hiking Lanzarote, as co-director of the festival. This activity has the collaboration and support of the Lanzarote Wine Regulatory Council.
Visit host winery
As a preamble to the event, the Alava delegation visited the Vega de Yuco winery this Friday, to learn about viticulture and the process of making the wines that they will taste during tomorrow's event.
