Red Wines

The red wines from Bodegas Vega de Yuco are made from the best Listán Negro grapes in Lanzarote. This is a pre-phylloxera variety of Canary Island wine, exclusive to our island, planted ungrafted using traditional cultivation methods and, due to the island’s conditions and terrain, without any mechanisation whatsoever. The Listán Negro grapes arrive at our winery from century-old vineyards, pampered by the island’s winegrowers, who love the land and good workmanship.

Wines that sleep—in almost all cases—nestled in the finest French oak. Overall, they are original, balanced, varietal wines, full of contrasts and nuances, in some lines, typical of their time in the barrel. At the same time, they are silky, structured and pleasant wines that are easy on the palate. Atlantic wines imbued with the volcanic essence of the Canary Islands.
