The project of the Tennis Cultural Association presents a selection of old films, filmed amateurishly, in which the island is the protagonist
The sessions will be held in the different municipalities of Lanzarote until next Sunday, October 2
Bodegas Vega de Yuco applauds and supports the project ‘Still. Lancelot revealed’ of the Tenique Cultural Association for the dissemination, conservation and recovery of the recent memory of our island. A journey through the past ways of life of Lanzarote through this project that is presented in the form of images of the island that were filmed for decades by non-professionals, amateur filmmakers, tourists, fathers and mothers in general.
This Tuesday, September 27, took place at the Civic Center of Playa Honda (San Bartolomé), the first session of the screenings that will continue, traveling through the different municipalities, until next october 2. The events conclude with a small tasting of products from the island and wines from Bodegas Vega de Yuco. Entrance is free and open.
The purpose of this pilgrimage is “present extraordinary old films to the inhabitants of the island. In them the past forms of life of Lanzarote are condensed and make us cross landscapes, popular festivals, modes of transport, towns, farms, etc. All of this returns from the past to show us what the island was like not so many years ago.”, they explain from the association.
In each session there is a projection of approximately one hour, prepared by the Tenerife filmmaker Dailo Barco, followed by an open talk in which the attendees can tell about their relationship with the places and events that appear in the images.
