Sweet wines
The sweet wines of the Canary Islands have been praised from Shakespeare to other illustrious characters in our history. In Lanzarote they have been an outstanding part of our traditions and cultural heritage and Canarian identity, but they are still, to this day, highly appreciated and valued by expert tasters as great wines.
At Bodegas Vega de Yuco several of these sweet wines are made with Lanzarote's favorite varieties. Of Negro list, an exceptional sweet red whose grapes are harvested late from overripe plots; and -on the other hand- of the variety Moscatel from Lanzarote, which is also harvested overripe from the plant. A wine that maintains the essence of a practically artisan production and sealed with wax.
The jewel in the winery's crown is presented in a special and elegant edition for this liquor wine traditional that makes all lovers of good sweet wine fall in love. Its oxidative aging in barrels of the best Hungarian oak, with a tradition of more than a decade, makes it irresistible.
