Bodegas Vega de Yuco received this morning the special visit of a group of teachers from various cycles of Basic Vocational Training of IES Teguise and their European counterparts from five other educational centers that are participating in the Erasmus + program. Among the members of this project are the secondary and infant teachers of the Aurelio Gómez Escolar School in Burgos, the Gymnasio Acharnon in Greece, the Regional Gymnasium of Livadia in Cyprus and the Gymnasio Chanion also in Greece. They are accompanied by several professors, members of this project as well, from the University of Burgos and the hosts in Lanzarote from the IES de Teguise.
The project «Enoculture. Beginning of oenology in Europe. Pre-phylloxera grapes”, has been financed by the European Commission and through it the representative centers of the three different countries that are part of this transnational project are learning first-hand all about the pre-phylloxera varieties of the islands, such as the Volcanic Malvasía de Lanzarote and others existing in the Aegean Sea regions.
