Bodegas Vega de Yuco once again collaborates with island sports. On this occasion with the vernacular sport, the Canarian wrestling. A modality of aboriginal origin that century after century continues to be practiced in the archipelago. Historians and chroniclers from the time of the conquest (1402) say that the ancient settlers used these fighting arts to settle conflicts or to resolve small territorial fights.
Today, it is quite a spectacle to see the fighters in the arena and the fans to enjoy this sport that combines tradition, nobility and respect for the opponent.
Since this month of May, Bodegas Vega de Yuco will collaborate, together with other companies and entities, with the Tao-Cicar Fight Club supporting the struggles that are carried out in the Andrés Curbelo – Pollo de Tao field. The last one took place last Saturday, May 6, against Unión Norte, the first match of the Copa La Caja de Canarias Foundation.
